This has been an exciting year- six months ago we started Are You Socially Acceptable because we were sick of attending seminars, classes and roundtables where people gave advice, without giving instruction.  To say we’ve had a cross section of attendees would be an understatement: from the two grandmothers wanting to learn how to get the message out about the Miss Senior Arizona Pageant, to the owners of a Dorfler Sheep farm who wanted to learn how to build their own website, to the CEO of a multimillion dollar international corporation.

In addition to all of this, I also decided to start being bi-coastal and am spending most of the year on the Massachusetts coast- quite a change from Phoenix.  Going back and forth has been a mind bender in “what to wear”.

But since I moved here, I’ve heard the same things I heard in Phoenix: “I hear about twitter and facebook all the time, but I don’t know how to use them or why anyone would bother”. Or “My agency is really struggling to raise funds in this economy”.  No one was willing to teach them at a reasonable price with qualified instructors. I knew we had to bring AYSE classes to the East Coast and am thrilled to be able to do so in partnership with Venture Hyannis, the only co-working space on Cape Cod.
